10-man Colts Defeat NJCAA D-1 NOC Enid 2-1 at Home

De Queen, Ark. - UA Cossatot men's soccer was triumphant against NJCAA D-I opposition, as the 10-man Colts defeated NOC-Enid 2-1 at the Colts Soccer Complex.
The Colts (2-4) took a 2-0 first half lead, while the Jets (2-8) could not take enough advantage of the man advantage, failing to get a result.
Tate Fuentes was tested early but the freshman kept NOCE off the board with four early saves, as Mateo Martinez's 34th minute goal put Cossatot in front off a Kerry Najera Assist.
Despite a red card to Fuentes in the 44th minute, Bryan Pumarol was able to save the free kick and one minute later the Colts doubled their lead going into halftime as Kerry Najera's deflect chip shot assisted by Gustavo Quiroz found the net.
Cossatot outshot NOC-Enid 11 to five in the first half, with five UAC saves shutting the Jets Out.
Two minutes into the second half Enid got one back, cutting the deficit in half.
Pumarol held for the remainder of the second half, making four saves as the Colts held on for the win.
The superiority of the Colts reflected in the box score, outshooting their opponents 20-10.
Hautz's four saves and five from Pumarol gave UAC nine saves on 10 shots.
The Colts are back at home Friday, when they host Crowder at 4 p.m.
