The Colts (4-7) fell down 4-0 in the first 17 minutes but tightened up greatly afterwards, only letting in two goals in the final 73 Minutes against the No. 1 Cavaliers (21-0-1) despite playing with a two-player disadvantage at times.
Johnson County had an early onslaught of goals, scoring 3rd, 9th, 15th and 17th minute goals.
To make things worse for Cossatot, they then had to play a stretch with nine players due to injury, though thankfully they were able to get up to ten later.
The Colts played even closer in the second half, though the fresh-legged JCCC substitutes were able to capitalize against the nine/ten player Colts to bag 72nd and 76th minute goals.
JCCC ended up winning the match 6-0, outshooting the Colts 15-2. Nahomie Ambroise made seven saves in net.
Cossatot is back in action again tomorrow morning at 10 a.m. against No. 8 seed Jones College. JC will then face JCCC Tuesday morning at 10 a.m. in the Pool A finale, deciding who of the three teams advances to the semifinals as Pool A's winner.
