De Queen, Ark. - UA Cossatot women's soccer played a hard-fought battle against NJCAA D-I NOC-Enid, losing 1-0 at the Colts Soccer Complex.
The Colts (0-5) outshot the Jets (3-1-3) by more than twice but could not convert, losing on a set piece.
UAC was livelier in the first half, totaling eight shots to NOCE's four, with both Nahomie Ambroise and the Jets' Alex Price making three saves. However the Colts could not convert on their prime chances and the game was scoreless at halftime.
The Jets found the back of the net in the 61st minute, heading in a free kick.
Cossatot was unable to score another, losing 1-0.
UAC had 15 shots with six being on goal, compared to seven and five respectively for NOCE. Ambroise saved four out of five shots in net.
The Colts are back at home Friday, when they host Crowder at 2 p.m.
