Men's Basketball Wins 87-80 at Rivals National Park to Tip Off 2026
Hot Springs, Ark. - UA Cossatot men's basketball won their first game of 2026, defeating the National Park Nighthawks 87-80 at the Oaklawn Foundation Gymnasium in Hot Springs.

The Colts (8-9, 2-3 Region 2) battled hard with the Nighthawks (7-8, 0-5 Region 2) but eventually pulled ahead to emerge victorious.
UAC made a strong early 6-0 starts, forcing NC into a timeout 61 seconds in. While the Colts got out to an 8-0 lead, National Park were able to respond with 10 consecutive points to take the lead.
A back-and-forth first half ensued, with multiple lead changes resulting in 45-38 halftime scoreline, with Amory Arie scoring 14, as Knighten Day had eight points.
NPC fought back to begin the second half and went up 49-47, but a 10-0 Colts run out them up by eight.
Cossatot eventually gained firm control of the game as the second half wore on, winning 87-80.
Dylan Glover was on fire for the Colts, leading them with 19 points while Arie had 16. Day finished with 11 points, while the sophomore center from Las Cruces, New Mexico also dominated on the glass, pulling down countless rebounds.
The Colts are back in action on Saturday, Jan. 10, facing off against Phillips Community College - UA at 3 p.m. in West Helena, Ark.
